Patronal Festival - August 2008

Before the start of our festival there was a most important and long awaited ceremony.
St Mary's now has the conveniences that will make everyone's visits much more comfortable
and enjoyable. Joan who has probably waited the longest opened it all up for Fr Yenda
to bless it and declare it all open.


A great number of worshipers processed around the Church this year behind the Altar party, visiting
Priests and the banners. This year we were pleased to be joined by Fr Nicholas Davis from
Holy Trinity Tarleton another of Fr Yenda's colleagues from college days.




The service ended as usual with prayers and hymn at the statue of St Mary then
it was into Sundon Park to the Church Hall for a buffet or should I say banquet.

Patronal Festival 2007

On the Saturday after the Assumption of Our Lady we held our Patronal Festival, We were
very pleased to welcome Father Darren Maslen who visited us all the way from South Shields.

After the service in the Church we joined together in the hall for some excellent refreshments.

Patronal Festival 2005

Over the weekend of the 20th & 21st August we celebrated our Patronal Festival. We had the main service on the Saturday followed by a buffet in the Church hall and then another 'mini' Patronal Festival on the Sunday morning.
