On Sunday we gathered again after Church to enjoy another of our alfresco Sunday
lunches,
this years theme was 'The Best of British' so we all enjoyed amongst other
things either Bangers 'n' Mash or
Steak 'n' Mushroom Pie & chips followed up with rhubarb or raspberry fools or
trifle.
The event finishing off with tea or coffee and a raffle. Over £200 was made by
the 'Friends'
which will go towards the never ending maintenance and improvement costs of our
Church.
PS the Churchyard store and toilet building is coming on really fast now and is
on target to
finish on time.... Better pay the builders then...!,,,

Our generous hosts - John and Liz - Thank you loads... (please note how
well I got the tree behind Liz in focus
- I'm sorry I will try better to get Liz with such clarity next time!)
PS. - about the dodgy looking chap in the second picture -
- no idea who it is, must have been a gatecrasher...¿... (Thanks Helen...)

well over two hundred

Alfresco Italianate

Over the past few years the Church BBQ hosted by the Ledsters has evolved, this

we went Italian. On a glorious day we assembled in Amy's Meadow to enjoy Liz &
John's
wonderful hospitality and a great meal to raise money for the Friend's. Many
thanks to
Liz & John. Thanks also to George for the Pics.

2005 - Church BBQ
Father John joined us for our
annual Friends of St Mary's BBQ in Amy's meadow. The weather could have been a
little kinder to us but a great (and filling) time was had by all. Many
thanks to the Friends for organising the afternoon and a special thanks to Liz
and John for their hospitality.
